I remember when I was much younger and had a toothache. I could barely eat rice or even the softest food comfortably. After I got some medication and it relieved the pain, I had to give a testimony for being able to eat comfortably again. And this is just one of many situations that highlight how something that seems normal can immediately become a struggle should anything go wrong.
With that, I don’t want to have to go through a negative situation before I value whatever it is I may be comfortably doing right now. This reminds me to be grateful for everything.
I don’t want to fall sick before I’m grateful for health. I don’t want to go hungry before I’m grateful for food. I don’t want to struggle with breathing before I’m grateful for being able to breathe freely. I don’t want to lose a loved one before I’m grateful for their presence in my life, and the list goes on and on.
And when challenges do come, because they surely are a part of living in this broken world, may I always maintain a heart of gratitude. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Truly, if we decide to count our blessings, we will be surprised by all that the Lord has done, both the things we know and the ones we will never know. Thank You, God, for life (life in Christ) and everything that flows from it.
Thank You, God, for EVERYTHING! 🙏🏼
With gratitude,
